Historically, copper has served as the ultimate choice of material for roofing. Unsurpassed in durability, beauty and value, copper is the only roofing material that actually improves with age. This ‘aging’ or ‘patina’ process not only enhances the roof’s appearance, but it protects the metal from further oxidation. Copper’s longevity is legendary. Almost all of the copper produced throughout time is still in use. And, in addition to being 100% recyclable, most architectural copper produced today has a recycled content of nearly 75%. Thus, not only is copper the best choice to protect a structure, it’s also the best choice to protect the environment.

Galvanized Bonderized Steel (26 Gauge)

Hot-dipped zinc coating provides a good adherent base for a subsequent application of paint. This product is often referred to as ‘Paint Grip’ in the market because Armco developed the product, and ‘Paint Grip’ was part of their brand name.

Coating is produced by a continuous hot dip process of 55% aluminum/ 45% zinc alloy. It provides good paint adherence and corrosion resistance.

Pre-Painted

Peterson Aluminum Corporation’s painted aluminum sheet combines rich, vibrant color with excellent economy and durability. It is ideally suited to our standard painted aluminum color offerings. Available in prime quality aluminum, 24 gauge and 22 gauge G-90 galvanized steel finished with PAC-CLAD Kynar 500(R)/Hylar 5000(R) finish (top side) and a polyester wash coat (bottom side). A vinyl film can be applied for protection during the fabrication and installation process if desired. The vinyl must be removed after installation. Life expectancy of PAC-CLAD is 20 years plus.
